Our United Way is an independently incorporated nonprofit. The needs of Athens-Limestone are front and center.
Only 1.5% of your donation goes towards national funding, and our administration rate is less than 8%. We are committed to financial transparency and using your resources in our communities.
Our Areas of Focus
Health
The cornerstone of well being is a healthy mind and a healthy body. Through partner agencies our United Way is committed to serving the residents of Athens-Limestone through proactive intervention and focused response programs in seasons of tragedy.
Education
Education is the catalyst for turning walls of disadvantage into open doors of opportunity. We are committed to advancing education through ACT prep, internships, career presentations and other programs which help to build financial security and; ultimately, a stronger community.
Financial Stability
Building a road map to financial independence allows individuals the opportunity to live debt free. This area of focus builds on our health and education outreach by reducing the stress and anxiety of credit and offering resources to equip individuals and families to live in financial freedom.
